Eileen Frere is an award-winning journalist and communicator with more than 30 years of experience. She worked as a reporter and served as a public figure for KABC TV (Los Angeles), KOMO TV (Seattle), CBC Television and Radio across Canada.

Eileen knows how the power of storytelling can change lives and inspire others.
​
During her extensive career, she has covered a wide range of stories, reported on national court cases, appeared live on camera during breaking news, conducted in-depth consumer investigations along with interviewing, writing and hosting documentaries. Eileen has appeared on local and national shows, including “Good Morning America” and ABC’s 20/20 for her coverage of major crime stories.
Using her broadcast experience, Eileen works as a media coach through The Company Doctors. Her extensive media training helps senior executives and company leaders to prepare for broadcast interviews, speeches, and press conferences.

Eileen also co-hosted The Company Doctors Business Exam Room podcast, which focuses on inspiring and motivating leaders and businesses.

In addition to media training, Eileen has worked as a part-time professor at Mohawk College in Canada, where she taught the fundamentals of Broadcast Newswriting and Production, Diversity in Journalism and Social Journalism and Research.

Eileen is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) and enjoys mentoring young people entering the industry.
​
She has also received recognition for her volunteer work and community leadership involving a number of non-profits, including Crime Survivors, Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure OC.

Eileen graduated with High Honours with a Combined Degree in Journalism and Law from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Outside of work, Eileen is a trail runner, a gardener and loves time with her family.
