Jake Rhoades is a 30-year veteran of the fire service and serves as the Fire Chief for the city Buckeye Fire-Medical-Rescue Department. He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership and a Master’s degree in Business Management. He has served as an elected member of the IAFC Safety, Health and Survival Board of Directors and served as an appointed commissioner for the Commission on Fire Accreditation International, representing Fire Agencies Serving Populations of 25,000 – 99,999.
He has been designated Professional Instructor from the International Society of Fire Service Instructors. Chief Rhoades is an active peer assessor for the Center for Public Safety Excellence and also a peer reviewer for Chief Fire Officer Credentialing, Chief Medical Officer Credentialing, Chief Training Officer Credentialing, and agency accreditation through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.
Jake is the Curriculum Lead Faculty for Columbia Southern University’s Fire Science and Administration program and serves as a training consultant for WHP Training Towers. He is the Vice-President of the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association and serves and the Chairman of the Arizona State Mutual Aid System.
Chief Rhoades is a frequent author and speaks nationally on topics of relevance to the fire service for a variety of publications as well as conferences and engagements throughout the country.
